Grinding

CNC internal and external cylindrical grinding takes place on state-of-the-art CNC grinding machinery such as the Kellenberger cylindrical grinder KEL-VISTA UR 175/1000. During the process of cylindrical grinding, both the workpiece and also the tool turn about a horizontal axis. The workpiece is tensioned with a clamping chuck, a collet, a magnetic plate or held between two tensioning points. The round grinding wheel travels in an oscillating fashion or via the injection method towards the workpiece and grinds it in several high-precision steps until the required finished size is achieved. Depending on each individual part, the grinding tolerances here are between 0.1 and 0.2 mm in relation to the diameter. Surface finishes up to Ra 0.4 and fit quality 5 can be perfected in our workshops. And components with an external diameter of up to 300 mm are ground.

In the case of surface grinding, parts are tensioned by way of a tightening system or on a magnetic plate so that the grinding wheel can travel in an oscillating movement over the workpiece. Infeed is carried out vertically in high-precision steps. Components with surface finishes up to Ra 0.4 can be ground.
